We think MIT really likes origami, actually: one day we already wrote about origami robot from MIT.

And there is another origami robot existing! It isn't made from paper, but still...it is controlled by magnetic fields!!!

"The entire walking motion is embedded into the mechanics of the robot body,” says Cynthia R. Sung, an MIT graduate student in electrical engineering and computer science and one of the robot’s co-developers. “In previous [origami] robots, they had to design electronics and motors to actuate the body itself."

The researchers hope that this kind of robots in future will be succsesfully used to perform  medical tasks and even get inside our body for medical manipulations.
