In this course, you'll learn how to design a mixed-signal (analogue and digital) product prototype from scratch - all the way from concept to manufacturing. I will guide you, step-by-step, through all required design stages for a USB-capable, microcontroller-based signal analyser and signal generator. This includes system-level design, component selection, analogue (e.g. op-amps, filters, ADC/DAC interfaces), digital (e.g. microcontrollers, USB), and power supply (e.g. switching converter) circuitry design, simulation, and schematic capture, as well as PCB layout and routing of a four-layer board in KiCad 6, with final processes to get your boards manufactured and assembled!
